Comment

Familial clustering of CML has been observed, but is relatively rare[1,2]. Kojima et al.[2] reported a father and son with chronic neutrophilic leukemia, a subtype of CML. The father had been exposed to radioactive fallout and the authors considered the possibility of a radiation induced genetic damage associated with increased leukemia risk, transmitted from father to son.
